Happy New Year!
The 2006 election results should have been a wake up call for Texas Republicans. Apathy, indifference, lack of resolve—whatever term you use, we lost because we didn’t engage our voters. With redistricting on the horizon, we cannot afford to repeat that mistake.
The Associated Republicans of Texas cannot affect every aspect of the 2008 election but we can continue to do what we do best. Since 1976 A.R.T. has strongly impacted the goal of a Republican majority in the Texas Legislature. Our targets are Democrat-held seats. Democrats are our opponents. We do not participate in contested primaries.
Our research is complete and we have started the process of interviewing candidates. Once the interview process is complete, we will decide which seats to target. Once a candidate’s race has been targeted, we maintain contact with the campaign in order to assure that our contributors’ dollars are spent wisely.
We cannot accomplish what we need to do without your assistance. A.R.T. members have always been tenacious and the results over the years speak for themselves. Although you will be asked to contribute to many groups, you have seen your dollars make a difference through the Associated Republicans of Texas and we ask that you continue your support.
We can accept personal, PAC and corporate checks. There are no limits on contributions. If you prefer, we accept credit card contributions.
In closing, a thought: Pick your top two issues of concern—national and state security, the economy (strong business climate), education, securing our border, etc. After choosing your issues, ask yourself if you truly believe a Democrat is better able to address those issues. If not, we need your help.
Please consider your renewal contribution today. We sincerely appreciate your past support and look forward to hearing from you.
Let’s make it a great 2008!
P.S. If you are not an A.R.T. member, we would welcome your participation. Contact Us |
